Race 3 – #15 Zoufame

Zoufame hasn't been seen at the races since a strong performance in the Magic Millions Maiden back in January, but all signs suggest she has returned a more mature and developed filly.

Her two recent trial victories have been particularly encouraging, showing both sharpness and professionalism leading into her return.

The break appears to have done her the world of good and she now looks ready to deliver on the promise she showed during her first preparation.

Importantly, she draws to get an economical run and should have every chance to settle in a favourable position throughout.

Gannon is happy to take on the market favourite, who has trialled well but faces a much tougher assignment from a wide draw.

With natural improvement expected, Zoufame looks the horse to beat.

Race 7 – #6 Astronomix

Astronomix created a favourable impression during his first preparation and looks capable of taking the next step this campaign.

He was a late scratching at the barriers a few weeks ago, but a recent trial has ensured his fitness hasn't missed a beat and connections have been able to keep him ticking over nicely.

The gelding has always looked a horse with above-average ability and the claim only enhances his prospects here.

From a favourable barrier he should settle on-speed, avoid any traffic issues and put himself in the race from the outset.
