Applaud represents outstanding value at the current quote and looks ready to peak third-up.

He drops back from Benchmark 78 company into a more suitable midweek Benchmark 72 and receives another significant boost thanks to Mitch Stapleford's 3kg claim.

The gelding has always shown his best form with some give in the ground and his recent runs suggest he's crying out for a rise in distance.

It's worth noting he started a $4.80 chance in much stronger company first-up, yet now finds an easier assignment at around $11 despite reaching peak fitness.
