Flemington Tips: Speed Maps Specials 9 June 2018

Cover desirable for Flemington straight racing
This week's selections feature two runners that will benefit from sitting in behind hot speeds down the famed Flemington straight.
This will allow both to enjoy a nice tow into their runs before their riders choose to peel out and press the button.
Suspect they could start shorter in betting, especially if there is a head wind present.
Race 1 #10 Propelle
Was heavily supported two starts back at Sandown when she had genuine excuses after missing the start and getting too far back.
Last start, she was again hard in the market and chalked up a stylish win at Sale.
The penny has dropped and all reports are that she is something very smart.
Although drawn out a little in gate 8, she still looks to map beautifully. Expect her to find cover tucked in behind the outside three, regardless if they come down the flat, grandstand or centre, over the straight course.
With the luxury of a nice tow into the race, Damien Thornton will stay in behind a strong tempo before peeling and running over the top.
Looks a very smart 2yo and could be a superstar in the making.
Propelle is currently $3.60 fixed odds.
Race 5 #3 Lady Esprit
Has Group 1 form from three starts back and that is more than enough to warrant plenty of respect for this. Last start, she was not beaten far into third by the smart Malibu Style after getting well back.
Suspect they may try and ride closer in this, tucked in just behind the speed or at least midfield where she will be in range.
The midfield draw allows options for young gun Regan Bayliss, who can follow the leaders whichever lane they choose to take down the straight.
With the speedy Sunday Escape and Malibu style drawn the outside two, there is a chance they choose the stand side.
Will be receiving a nice tow into it before charging over the top late.
Lady Esprit is currently $5.50 fixed odds.
