Early Oil from Sandgroper 2 Dec 2017

Sangroper's early oil is out.
Steve HartIt's been a big week for Sandgroper. Showing his allround form knowledge the punter from the west found no less than 12 harness racing winners with one winner, Tibytoa paying $97.50. Sandgroper commented that he had the trotter in his blackbook system for some time, and with good form shown in a recent trial, it came on his radar.
Watch out for Sandgroper's Harness tips this Friday night here and get his best bets for Saturday below.
Viddora Ascot R7 #9
Viddora ran second to Secret Agenda in the Group 1 Robert Sangster Stakes back in May on home soil over 1200m at Morphettville. Four months later at Moonee Valley she was narrowly beaten by She Will Reign when a luckless second in the Moir Stakes (1000m).
She then finished fourth behind Hey Doc at her previous start in the Manikato Stakes (1200m) at Moonee Valley on October 27.
Looks due for a Group 1 next to her name.
Care To Think Doomben R9 #1
Huge effort from this son of So You Think two runs back when charging from a long way back after being held up from the home turn up to the 300m, finishing just short of the prize. Looks ready for the extra distance here.
Plenty of untapped talent and in the hands of Corey brown.
Federal Court Morphettville R4 #4
No shock to see Caserta dig him out from barrier 7 (of 8) to run to a clear lead last start. However, after finding the front Caserta elected to restrain his mount to take a trail, leaving Federal Court unsettled over the 200m of the journey that followed.
Caserta then angled out at the 400m to tackle the leaders four-off the fence, before being claimed by Kirona late in the piece. The decision to slow the pace and look for cover was strange and probably cost him the race.
Expect him to go well here.
Samantha Rosehill R8 #8
Think this girl did enough in her first-run back from a spell over the 1000m dash. With a sizzling time clocked, she was only beaten 2-1/4 lengths by Kaepernick, a horse that is Group class on his day.
Considering she was first-up since April and coming off three consecutive runs on heavy tracks, her effort was admirable on a good (3) surface. Form indicates she will be more effective up to 1100m confirmed at her recent outing.
Went from a maiden to a Listed win in four runs last campaign. She has ability.
Danuki Sandown Hillside R7 #9
Stewards reported he was severely buffeted at the start and had to be checked and then held up near the 400m. Has been entered in three different states this weekend so trainer should be able to place him to his best.
