David Gately tips for Randwick and Bendigo 13/4/24

All ratings for BENDIGO are for GOOD track.

Rail is TRUE.

Was 9m here last meeting and 7 of the 8 winners settled first three, the other winner settled 4th.

A number of placegetters did run on from midfield and beyond though.

 

In Sydney it is RANDWICK for Day-2 of The Championships and ratings are for SOFT/ GOOD track.

Some rain about but nothing like that biblical stuff we saw last week.

Suspect we will be between GOOD-4 and SOFT-5? Rail will be 4m (1400m-to-WP).

The track played amazingly well last week however, the fence was avoided by most as the day wore on and seemed inferior ground.

BET OF THE DAY (Melb) 

BENDIGO - Race 5 No.10 - MOBY DICK 

Won running away at debut then to BM64 Pakenham and roared past She’s Bulletproof (no slouch/ had good form-lines going in).

Ran last 600m some 4L+ faster than any other horse that night (the meeting had handy horses in it - Modown etc) and that 10.7 400m-to-200m split.

Wowee!!

BET OF THE DAY (Syd) 

RANDWICK - Race 6 No.1 - ORCHESTRAL 

Month between runs and back in trip into G1 Vinery and simply too good despite a modest tempo and doubt she handled Rosehill perfectly too.

NZ Derby win prior was dominance at 2400m.

The one to beat.
