Gator's Saturday Best Bets

Saturday serves up two contrasting tracks, and David Gately is locked in for both!
In Melbourne, we return to Flemington where the rail is back in the True and the track is rated a Good 4.
Expect a fair playing surface with straight races likely to play down the middle, as has been the recent trend.
Up in Sydney, it's a different story altogether.
Rosehill is rated Heavy, and the Bureau of Meteorology has thrown its hands in the air—forecasting anywhere between 10 to 60mm of rain on Saturday alone.
The rail moves out to 6m, and after last week's significant inside bias, it's anyone’s guess how it plays under this much water.
As Gator says, monitor the early races closely and stay nimble.
Now, onto the bets…

BET OF THE DAY (Melbourne)
FLEMINGTON – Race 9, No.3 – DEAKIN
No fluke about his recent leap in performance.
Deakin just couldn’t hold off Shaiyhar two back—who ties in closely with Middle Earth and Duke De Sessa—before producing a career peak in the Torney Cup, thrashing key rivals who subsequently franked the form in the Adelaide Cup.
He stays at the trip, drops 3kg and maps to get every chance again.
Big fan of the set-up—he can go back-to-back.
BET OF THE DAY (Sydney)
ROSEHILL – Race 6, No.1 – TREASURETHE MOMENT
She showed her class last start, exploding over the top once she found a truly run race at the mile.
That was after a brilliant return win over an unsuitable trip into a stiff headwind while lumping 59.5kg.
She strips fitter, is proven in soft going, and profiles beautifully for this. The wetter it gets, the better she looks.
She's a genuine class riser in what looks a suitable assignment.
