BET OF THE DAY (Melbourne)

FLEMINGTON - Race 1 No.5 - Moby Dick

Moby Dick returned in terrific form, winning impressively down the straight at Flemington, despite being held up at a key stage of the race.

His late burst allowed him to power over Baraqiel, who subsequently went to Moonee Valley and beat the smart War Machine in slick time.

Though Moby Dick rises in weight, the step up to 1200m looks ideal for this horse, and he’s clearly still improving.

Expect another big run, making him the top pick of the day in Melbourne.

 

BET OF THE DAY (Sydney)

RANDWICK - Race 10 No.4 - Ostraka

Ostraka was backed with confidence fresh and delivered with a fantastic first-up win, clocking some impressive sectionals in the process.

His last 600m and 200m times were outstanding, with the final 200m (10.95 seconds) only bettered by Linebacker on the day.

Importantly, Ostraka came from midfield in a race otherwise dominated by on-pace runners, showing his class.

He’s primed for another victory here and looks well-placed to win again at Randwick.
