Value Galore

While this Saturday's Caulfield meeting is void of black-type racing, a strong card has been assembled and plenty of great value is scattered throughout.
It does look a difficult day for punters, with only 3 favourites under $3 and a number of them above $4.
The feature event comes up in Race 9, a Handicap clash over 1400m littered with quality gallopers.
The handy ‘Bermadez’ is currently the $4.60 favourite, after a strong run for 2nd on Melbourne Cup Day.
Currently the track is currently rated as a Good 4 and with the fine weather forecast it will remain that way on Saturday.
The running rail is out 10m as it was for Thursday twilight meeting, when it played quite evenly.
With plenty of value on offer, we've found a couple at odds.
Cody steered punters into Taunting at the early price of $3.90 last week!
Caulfield Tips and Best Bets
Caulfield Race 7 #12 Ginger ‘N’ Pink $5.50
This galloper has always shown glimpses of above average ability and was able to put it together last start when winning her maiden first-up at Sandown.
The form from that race has held up well, with two subsequent winners.
This 3yo Zoustar filly faces a big step up in class here, but has raced in some strong races previously as a 2yo.
She gets in extremely well at the weights with just 51.5kg, after apprentice jockey Tatum Bull’s 3kg claim.
Bull has a superb record at Caulfield with a 14.8% winning strike rate (2nd amongst jockeys riding at this meeting) and a 95% POT (1st amongst jockeys riding).
Expect her to get a good run in the race from barrier 5 and a put in a good showing second-up.
Caulfield Race 10 #5 Kentucky Casanova $10.00
There's terrific odds on offer here about a very handy sprinter from the Michael Huglin stable.
This lightly-raced 6yo has been a model of consistency throughout his career to date, with 5 wins and 5 placings from just 12 starts.
He put in a strong run first-up at Morphettville when only narrowly being ran over the top late, finishing 3rd.
Expect him to be even better here second-up (3:1-0-2) and he maps well despite being drawn barrier 10 given there's minimal speed inside.
He gets the flying Thomas Stockdale aboard for the ride, who has a superb recent record of 23 winners from his last 100 rides which is the most amongst jockeys at this meeting.
Meanwhile trainer Michael Huglin has a 20% winning strike rate at Caulfield at a 88.6% POT, making this an excellent duo to back.
He has won at Caulfield at his only previous attempt and has a top chance of doing it again.
