Canterbury Tips from Luke Hovhanesian

Race 1 #5 First Landing $7.00

Was really taken by the trials from this Deep Field colt.

His work in the latest trial was from an off-speed position and was superb.

He didn't get the clearest of running and really accelerated through the gaps to find the line.

This is a sign of a well-educated youngster and can really stamp his authority as a youngster of the Spring.

 

Race 2 #12 Hellbent On You $11.00

This filly can make up for her luckless run last start with a strong performance here.

She landed leader's back and was blocked for a run when they entered the straight.

Her trials prior were brilliant and she can improve here again over the 1200m.

From barrier 3 she will get a similar run and the Canterbury track will suit his racing pattern.

Very well placed.
