Brad Davidson tips and best bets from Sky Racing BSB 26/8/2023

Brad Davidson was on Sky Radio on Friday morning giving punters his best bets for Saturday racing.

We take a look at Brad's opinion about the feature races at Rosehill on Saturday.

 

Race 8 San Domenico Stakes

Davo had no hesitation putting #1 Coniche on top for this 3-year-old contest over the 1100m. 

Davidson was impressed with the colt's win over Shinzo last preparation, his trial efforts and the comments coming from James Cummings supporting his ability.

Davidson saw Coniche's map as a real positive. He saw him mapping well from barrier six as an on-pace runner and felt that should place him well at 'leaderish' Rosehill with the rail out six metres.

His roughy for the race is #8 General Salute on the back of some solid trials and his win at Warwick Farm last preparation.

 

 

Race 7 Up And Coming Stakes

Brad is behind #11 Les Vampires here after it's solid win at Warwick Farm last start. He also likes it's map seeing it well positioned with the rail as wide as it is.

Davo was not concerned about the 1300m trip for him and noted the stable is in great form at the moment.

Interestingly Laury Daley had it in his famous Big Sports Breakfast multi.

Davidson acknowledges its main rival Caballus should have probably won last start but he expressed some conern about his history of missing the start.

 

Brad Davidson's best bets for Saturday

Davo is going with #1 Coniche in race eight as his best bet for the day. He mentioned a $5 price which has since shortened into $3.80 on Saturday morning.

Davidson gave his tick of approval for Laury's tip in Race 5 #7 Smashing Eagle, saying he too had it on top.
