Brad Davidson tips and best bets for The Championships Day 2

What a massive Saturday of racing ahead of us with the running of The Championships Day 2 at Randwick.

Randwick - Race 7 - Australian Oaks 2024

The New Zealand superstar, Orchestral is going to be very hard to beat here and class got her home in the Vinery.

They walked there and the step up to 2400m is the key here. She has had a long prep but all being equal, she looks too good.

Zardozi won the Crown Oaks in the spring and she is clearly going to peak here.

Autumn Angel backs up off the brave effort in the Adrian Knox with a big weight, while Tutta La Vita rates next best.

 

 

Randwick - Race 8 - Queen Elizabeth 2024

Solid edition of the QE.

Via Sistina is a deserving favourite and she was terrific when sprinting past them off a slow tempo in the Ranvet.

It’s a completely different race shape here with Pride Of Jenni in the race and she will be chasing a long way out.

This might bring Place Du Carrousel into the race and she has some strong staying form in France.

She wasn’t suited by the sprint home in the Ranvet.

Pride Of Jenni, Mr Brightside and Cascadian are all capable.
