Brad Davidson has identified two runners that look ideally placed at Eagle Farm, with both bringing the right form and race setups into Saturday's meeting.
One impressed with a strong last-start victory and now steps to a distance that looks tailor-made, while the other gets a host of key positives including a better barrier, firmer footing and a significant drop in weight.
It's all you need for a day on the punt.
Brad Davidson – Eagle Farm Saturday Best Bets
Race 1 – #6 Misato
Misato produced an impressive performance at the Gold Coast last start, running excellent time on the way to a convincing victory.
That effort suggested there's still plenty of upside, and the rise to 1400 metres at Eagle Farm looks ideal for this stage of the preparation.
With natural improvement to come and conditions to suit, Davidson believes Misato is well placed to make it back-to-back wins.
Race 8 – #11 Sir Artie
Sir Artie looks to have several important factors working in his favour this weekend.
He draws a much kinder barrier, gets onto a drier racing surface, benefits from a positive jockey change and drops to a light 52.5kg.
With everything falling into place and the race mapping favourably, Davidson expects Sir Artie to prove highly competitive and rates him one of the better betting plays on the program.
