Betting Tips: Early Market Movers at Geelong and Randwick 6/1/24

Price movements in early betting are an excellent guide to identify the smart money, and can often point to where a stable or stable associate has had a bet.

At Geelong the Simon Wilde yard appear to be in action with a significant market move for their emerging stayer.

Whilst at Randwick punters have not missed Nash Rawiller who should dominate against the weaker riders, with most of his usual competition riding at the Gold Coast.  

 

 

 

Geelong Tips

 

Fretta

Above average Price/Kent mare, who remains undefeated following two career starts.

She was excellent resuming at Bendigo last time out, when heavily backed (1.60 into 1.45) late, before charging home from a midfield position to win with ease.

Expect her to be very well-suited staying at Benchmark 64 level for this, and should be just as dominant winning again.

 

Iffycould

Bookmakers clearly went up the wrong price for this runner, and it would not surprise if early money from a stable associate was the cause of the dramatic move in betting.

He appeared to relish the sharp rise in distance last start when stretched out to 2500m and overcoming difficulty to win.

I suspect he is now rock hard fit and can again take a forward position to possibly apply pressure from long way out, and grind this field into the ground.

 

Keane Enuff

Looks primed following two excellent lead up runs to kick off this preparation, where he now looks ready to peak third-up.

He is a genuine speedster who showed good fight last time out where only just went down (2 of 11) at Moonee Valley, after showing good fight right to the line.

With the added fitness he will be even tougher late on this occasion and should break through for the win.  

 

Waverider Buoy

Waller runner who has a touch of quality and finds a weak race here that appears to lack depth.  

The superior Sydney form normally stacks up in this type of Melbourne race and expect that to be the case here.

She should receive the gun run form barrier 6, sitting just in behind the leading division before dropping on them over the final 200m.

 

Randwick Tips

 

Exploring

Godolphin filly who has been well educated with multiple trips to Melbourne, where successful last start when winning at Flemington.

She gets the key jockey booking of Nash Rawiller who should school a few of the junior riders in this, with most of his competition riding at the Gold Coast meeting.

Expect Nash to take control here early sending her straight to the front, before giving nothing else a chance.

 

Terra Mata

Another Nash Rawiller ride where as described above he should have a field day against the weaker riders on Saturday.

This above average mare is looking for the hat-trick here following an excellent last start win at the same course over 1200m.

The step up in distance to 1300m for this appears ideal and with fitness now reaching it’s peak,  they are likely to ride her in an ideal position- a touch closer than normal.

 

Felix Majestic

Last start winner at this track and distance when led and won with ease.

He faces a similar speed map set up here, and appears to relish the 3kg claim made available by the apprentice rider, which may allow him to cruise out in front.

Although they are forced to step up in grade to Benchmark 88 level, he certainly deserves his chance and can go back-to-back.

 

Time To Boogie

The Michael Freedman stable are simply lethal at present! with winners flowing around the state weekly.

The second-up stats (3:1-1-0) clearly say yes and this shrewd yard would have him prepped and ready to peak on the day for this.

He has blistering early speed and should lead this field up with ease, before giving a strong kick off the front to win.
