Racing in South Australia returns to Morphettville Parks this Saturday with a typically competitive winter program.

I'm certain we haven't seen the best of this three-year-old filly, who boasts competitive formlines around horses that have since progressed to stronger races.

She has had two runs back in this preparation and although finishing out of the placings both times, her most recent effort was full of merit.

Last start she was ridden with intent early, covering ground before sticking on well to be beaten only 1.7 lengths by in-form opposition.

That run showed she’s close to a win and the slight rise to 1100m looks ideal.

She’s also unbeaten at the track third-up and handles the wide-open spaces of Morphettville Parks well.

She profiles as a serious winning chance in what is admittedly an open affair.

Her second-up performance was a hidden gem.

She settled near the tail, made a long sustained run out wide and clocked +5.2 lengths above standard for her final 600m despite the track favouring the rail.

That came after a luckless first-up effort where she never saw clear running.

With a stronger tempo expected here, this sets up perfectly for her strong closing pattern.

She’s proven at the 1250m around this circuit and looks well conditioned third-up.
