Keep Your Eyes on These Runners

This week at Randwick, Mick Gannon identified a pair of runners who produced eye-catching efforts in the face of tricky track conditions and tough race shapes.
These are the horses you want on your radar as they progress through their campaigns.
Here are two blackbookers you can follow with confidence.

Mick is keen on two runners who look set to go bang next time out.
Race 4 – Tasoraay
Stepping sharply in grade from a Class 2 to a City BM72, Tasoraay looked more than up to the challenge.
He controlled a fast tempo from the front on a day where the track significantly favoured runners coming from off the speed.
Despite being pressured up front, he kicked strongly in the straight and was only collared late, going down by less than half a length.
This was a performance of a progressive horse who should only improve with fitness and experience.
Expect him to bounce through the grades with confidence in his coming runs.
Race 7 – Crafty Eagle
Third-up this prep, Crafty Eagle signaled he’s ready to deliver on the promise he showed early in his career.
Plagued by injury and inconsistency, this campaign has seen him build fitness and finally start to put it together.
Despite being forced to the inferior inside ground, he returned a rating near his career-best.
A shift to better ground next start, combined with the fitness peak, will make him very hard to beat wherever he goes next.
