Glorious Moments looks ready to return to the winner's stall.

His first-up victory carrying 61.5kg against older horses was full of merit and highlighted the quality he possesses.

Last start he was forced to race wide on a day where that proved costly, yet still boxed on well despite stepping from 1100m to 1400m.

The run suggested he remains in terrific order and should strip fitter for the experience.

Back to a more suitable setup, Gately believes this talented galloper can bounce straight back.

General Salute shapes as one of the better each-way plays of the meeting.

He was heavily backed first-up despite carrying 59kg and produced an outstanding effort, running some of the fastest closing sectionals of the entire meeting despite racing against the prevailing pattern.

The performance becomes even stronger when considering he was giving weight to what now looks a very smart winner.

The quick rise to 1400m looks suitable and any scratchings should only improve his map.
