David Gately heads to Randwick expecting another rain-affected surface, with the track likely to race in the Soft to Heavy range after rain during the week.
The rail moves out to 9 metres from the 1000m to the winning post and 8 metres for the remainder of the circuit.
At the previous meeting, runners racing on speed and close to the inside enjoyed a noticeable advantage, making early positioning likely to be a key factor once again.

David Gately – Randwick Best Bets 11/7/26
Bet Of The Day
Race 4 – #1 Benevac
Benevac looks ready to convert a series of excellent performances into another victory.
His last two runs have been full of merit despite racing without much luck.
Second-up he was forced to cover ground before only being caught late, while last start he again had no favours throughout but still surged clear before being run down in the closing stages.
Those efforts suggest he's racing in career-best form and, with even luck in running, Gately believes he'll prove extremely hard to beat.
Best Each-Way Bet
Race 5 – #5 All Kinds Of Folk
All Kinds Of Folk appeals as one of the better each-way opportunities on the Randwick program.
He went within a whisker of saluting at odds last start and the form from that race has already received a boost, with third-placed Hush Hush performing strongly in last week's Group 3 Winx Guineas.
His earlier form around Express Payment has also continued to stand up, adding further confidence to his chances.
With those form lines continuing to strengthen, Gately believes he's capable of running another big race at attractive odds.
