Race 6 – #9 Custom

Custom has returned this preparation in outstanding order and looks ready to continue her rise through the grades.

She resumed with an excellent effort under a big weight before producing one of the standout performances of the meeting at Caulfield last start.

Despite being one of the few runners able to swoop from the back, she powered clear and recorded a faster overall time than Group 3 Bletchingly Stakes winner Cosmic Crusader later on the program, despite the sprint feature being run at a stronger early tempo.

That performance suggested she's a mare with genuine class, and with conditions again to suit, Gately expects her to make it back-to-back wins.

Race 5 – #14 Beautiful Bevy

Beautiful Bevy appeals as one of the better value plays on the card.

She was beaten by the smart Lakeside two starts ago before again measuring up against three fit and in-form three-year-olds at her latest outing, with that trio comfortably putting space on the remainder of the field.

She stays down in the weights, brings strong recent form into the race and looks capable of rewarding each-way supporters at generous odds.
