Saturday racing in Melbourne heads to Caulfield, where the track is rated a Soft 6, with only light showers forecast (1–5mm).

The rail moves out to the 4m position after sitting in the True last meeting, where it played very evenly across the card.

David Gately has found strong betting angles throughout the day, including a standout performance last start he expects to repeat, a high-value closing chance, and a down-in-grade mare drawn to advantage.

Bet of the Day – Race 5 No.7 – NOETZIE

Wow — what a win from Noetzie last time out at Murray Bridge.

She was trapped wide carrying 58.5kg and still let rip in the straight, putting away her rivals with ease and running an exceptional time in the process.

With that dominant performance under her belt, she heads to Caulfield with confidence.

Expect her to handle the step up and prove tough to beat again.

Best Each-Way – Race 7 No.10 – REGAL VOW

Regal Vow was solid last start under 61.5kg against the boys over 1700m but is far better suited now back to 1600m with just 54kg after the claim.

This is her preferred distance, and from a good draw with Craig Williams aboard, she gets every chance to return to winning form.
