Daniel Pryor Saturday Horse Racing Tips 11/7/26

This week my focus shifts to two quality metropolitan meetings at Caulfield and Randwick, with both programs offering plenty of competitive racing and what I believe are some excellent value opportunities for punters.
Caulfield takes centre stage with the Group 3 Sir John Monash Stakes, and while we're only in July, it certainly feels like the Spring Carnival is beginning to creep into view.
This race has a proud history, with winners including Rubitano, Super Elegant, I Am Invincible, Supido, Voodoo Lad and Jungle Edge, while In Flight claimed the honours twelve months ago.
This year's edition looks one of the most even in recent memory.
There doesn't appear to be a standout, which should create plenty of betting opportunities, and I've found a runner with proven form in this race that I think is over the odds.
Last weekend was certainly one to remember, so hopefully we can carry that momentum into another profitable Saturday.
Around the Grounds – Daniel Pryor Horse Racing Tips & Selections 11/7/26
Caulfield
Track: Soft 7
Rail: +6m Entire
Race 5
No.2 Sir Atlas ($6)
Looks well placed in an open contest and should appreciate a genuinely run race. If the tempo is strong, he'll be finishing hard.
No.9 Prince Eric ($11)
Another runner who profiles well if they overdo it in front. He's capable of producing a sharp finish and looks good value at double-figure odds.
No.5 Kingofwallstreet ($31)
The roughie of the race. He'll appreciate the expected race shape and is more than capable of surprising at a massive price.
Race 7 – Group 3 Sir John Monash Stakes
No.1 Recommendation ($9.50)
I think Recommendation is ready to win after a terrific runner-up performance last start where he attacked the line strongly.
He's already proven himself in this race, having won it two years ago, and although the wide draw isn't ideal, he has the class to overcome it.
If he reproduces his latest effort, he'll take plenty of beating.
Randwick
Track: Heavy 9
Rail: +9m (1000m to Winning Post), +8m remainder
Race 4
No.3 Sir Les ($6.50)
The market has completely overlooked him after opening favourite, and I think that's created a terrific betting opportunity.
He made life difficult for himself last start after jumping awkwardly and over-racing before eventually finding the lead.
With six weeks between runs and the opportunity to control the race from the outset, I expect a much-improved performance.
We'll know our fate over the final 100 metres!
Race 7
No.6 Rotagilla ($6.50)
Looks set to enjoy a lovely midfield run and should get every chance if the tempo is genuine.
No.9 Boniface ($6)
Will be charging home from the back and only needs the race to unfold his way to be right in the finish.
No.10 Luskaire ($10)
Expected to race on speed and could prove difficult to run down if left alone in front.
The three selections map completely differently, giving us multiple ways to attack what looks a very even race.
