Brad Davidson heads to Flemington expecting rain-affected conditions to again shape the meeting, with proven wet trackers and horses capable of racing on-speed likely to hold a significant advantage.

With softer ground expected and several races lacking genuine speed, Davidson has identified two runners that map ideally for conditions.

One as his standout bet and another that looks capable of giving punters value at odds.

Brad Davidson – Flemington Saturday Best Bets 6/626

Race 5 – #2 Duchess Zou

Duchess Zou looks perfectly placed to continue her strong campaign.

She was dominant at Sandown last start, putting her rivals away comfortably on Soft ground and now gets very similar conditions again.

Her wet track profile is excellent and importantly, this race doesn’t appear to have a great deal of early pressure.

From barrier one she should land right on-speed, control her own race and prove difficult to run down.

With conditions to suit and race shape in her favour, Davidson expects another bold showing.

Best Value Bet

Race 8 – #3 Siriusly Hot

Siriusly Hot shapes as one of the better value plays on the card.

He comes into this race chasing a hat-trick after putting together back-to-back wins on rain-affected tracks and clearly relishes getting his toe into the ground.

The claim only strengthens his chances and there doesn’t appear to be an abundance of speed engaged, giving him every opportunity to roll forward and control proceedings again.

If left alone in front, he could prove very hard to catch.
