Brad Davidson – Doomben Saturday Best Bets 15/8/26

Race 9 – #7 Hell $3.60

Hell returned in excellent order first-up, producing a strong performance to finish a close-up third.

With that run under his belt, he should strip fitter second-up and Davidson expects a more aggressive approach from the barriers this time.

If he can roll forward and find the front without doing too much work, he'll be able to control proceedings and prove extremely difficult to run down.

Race 4 – #12 Lockyer $2.70

Lockyer returns to Doomben where he's produced both of his career victories, making the switch back to this track a significant positive.

The blinkers go on for the first time, which should help sharpen him up, while barrier one gives him every opportunity to enjoy an economical run throughout.

Back at his preferred track with the gear change and an ideal draw, Lockyer gets his chance to return to the winner's stall.
