Brad Davidson – Devonport Wednesday Best Bets 12/8/26

Race 2 – #10 Alkira

Alkira makes her debut after producing a terrific body of work at the trials.

She has shown more than enough ability to suggest she's ready to make an immediate impact, and importantly comes from a stable with an outstanding record when producing first starters.

With the trial form pointing towards a forward showing, Davidson rates her as very hard to beat on debut.

Race 7 – #9 Garcon Despoir

Garcon Despoir is flying despite having very little to show for it this preparation.

Things simply haven't gone his way tactically, and he arguably should have won each of his past two starts with better rides and more favourable runs in transit.

This is a tougher assignment, but his current form warrants the step up in grade. With a cleaner ride and even luck, he gets his chance to finally put another win on the board.
