This week we’ve identified several runners where trainers appear to be telling owners to have a bet!
The early betting activity offers sharp insight into their winning chances.
At Flemington, there’s a strong stable intent with several Ciaron Maher-trained runners well supported in early markets.
Meanwhile at Rosehill, a “Waller ready” runner draws ideally and looks primed to deliver off a solid fitness base.

Flemington Tips
Jimmy Ricard
Maher sends this NSW-trained galloper south to target a rich final, a clear signal he’s thriving.
His last-start win at Gosford was gutsy, fighting to the line on speed.
Only second-up here with upside, look for a bold showing if he handles the straight.
Marble Nine
Has been dominant this Winter, winning consecutive sprints and now steps back to Stakes level.
Loves the Flemington straight (7:2-1-1), and the draw in gate 7 gives him tactical freedom.
With the right run in transit, he can measure up and go back-to-back-to-back.
Kalkallo
Was a heavily-backed favourite last start and raced in a way that suggested 1600m would suit, he gets that here.
Draws ideally in barrier 1 for a soft trail, and if Allen finds space late, he’ll be storming through with momentum.
Can peak now and looks hard to beat.
Running By
Was well-supported late at Sandown last start ($8 into $5.50), and ran a strong third.
A clear return to form.
Key ownership links to Inglis mean Maher will be keen to get a result here.
Should strip fitter second-up, and with the stable clearly bullish, she’s one to watch.
Rosehill Tips
Zouripper
Thompson yard is warming up, and this gelding looks to have more to offer second-up.
Backed and won convincingly at Kembla last start, suggesting fitter now and ready for city grade.
Maps well and should be finishing hard again.
Exit Fee
Danny Williams’ blueprint — target the right horse for a metro Highway.
Ran a huge race at Randwick last start (2 of 14) and now gets senior rider Jason Collett, which is a big upgrade.
Well-weighted and very well placed, he’s ready to strike.
Codetta
Represents the Woppit Team (Deb Kepitis/Winx), and trainer Michael Freedman will be highly motivated to deliver.
Placed to perfection and quietly supported early, she looks set to peak here.
Watch betting late, if more money arrives, she’s the one to follow.
Seafall
Now “Waller ready”, full fitness after a solid prep and now draws low (gate 4) for a positive tactical change.
Loves Rosehill (4:2-0-0) and gets back onto firmer footing, ideal for her late turn of foot.
If she can land in the first half of the field, expect her to dart through late and feature prominently.
