Our Market Movers formula found a gem of a value play last week with Dirnaseer saluting at $6 to stuff follower's pockets.

This week we have identified a number of market moves at both key venues where the significant push in early betting can provide an excellent guide for punters.

At Sandown, Mark Walker has clearly told the owners to bet and must have one of his runners ready to fire after an encouraging return to form from the stable.

Meanwhile at Rosehill, Chris Waller will be highly motivated to achieve a result for marquee clients the Ingham family and Deb Kepitis, with a filly who appears set to peak at the right time.

Sandown

Lucky Single

After a lean period by their lofty standards, the Mark Walker stable are beginning to hit form and appear to have the stable humming again.

She was excellent winning at Moe last start, charging through the Heavy conditions and producing impressive closing sectionals despite the testing ground.

The yard know when to back one and based on the early market support, it would be no surprise if connections have been encouraged to have a decent wager here.

Clevor Trever

The Patrick Payne stable are absolutely flying and arrive here with a galloper chasing a hat-trick of wins this preparation.

Payne has made no secret of targeting the winter months where the depth of racing often drops away, allowing his horses to find suitable opportunities.

He won impressively at Caulfield last start and this looks another race where the placement appears spot on.

Boltsaver

Very unlucky not to win at Swan Hill last start when storming home and only missing by a nose.

The Warrnambool run prior on heavy ground has provided a strong fitness base and he now arrives here rock-hard fit and ready to peak.

Barrier six should allow positive tactics and with an excellent wet-track profile, he looks ideally suited if conditions remain testing.

Makdane

This shapes as a perfect set-up for a horse now reaching peak fitness.

He draws beautifully in gate two and carries just 52kg, allowing him to take up his preferred position on or near the speed.

Provided the inside section of the track is holding up, he maps to control proceedings and could prove extremely difficult to run down.

Rosehill tips

Smashing Time

Has been racing consistently all preparation and was heavily backed first-up when narrowly beaten at Kembla Grange.

He then went to Gosford and delivered second-up, winning a race that rated strongly on time and performance.

With added fitness and barrier four, expect him to roll forward and either take control or sit outside the leader before giving a strong kick.

Surfs Up

Chris Waller trains this filly for long-time clients the Ingham family and Deb Kepitis, a partnership the stable is always eager to deliver results for.

She was solid at Randwick last start when finishing third as favourite and may simply have needed the run.

Third-up from gate two is a classic Waller set-up and looks the ideal platform for her to produce her best performance of the campaign.

Gorgeous

There is no doubting her talent and trainer David Pfieffer has repeatedly indicated she has the ability to measure up in stronger company.

The key has always been her racing manners and if she settles and conserves energy early, she has the class to put this field away.

Barrier eleven may actually assist by allowing her uninterrupted galloping room through the early stages.

If she relaxes, she wins.

Thebudgiesmugla

Produced a tremendous effort two starts back at Randwick when over-racing in a fast-run race yet still proving strong enough to win.

He then stepped into Stakes company in the Lord Mayors Cup and acquitted himself well against stronger opposition.

Now fitter and more seasoned at this level, he appears well placed to bounce back and could be ready to produce a peak performance.
