Early betting markets have again provided a strong guide this week, with several runners attracting significant support at both major venues.

At Caulfield, the Hayes team unveil an exciting two-year-old making his debut, while Lindsey Smith appears to have another promising sprinter on his hands after an impressive first-up victory.

Meanwhile at Rosehill, a number of proven wet-track performers have already been found by punters, with Chris Waller once again represented by a runner attracting plenty of market confidence.

Caulfield Tips

Stakes

Two-year-old gelding making his debut by Capitalist out of She's Glamourous, boasting a pedigree that suggests he can measure up in Stakes company.

The Hayes boys are renowned for producing smart juveniles and this colt has already caught the eye winning a Flemington jump-out on June 19 in impressive fashion.

He appears to have plenty of natural talent and if the early support is any guide, the stable expects him to make an immediate impact.

Next Step Iowa

Progressive gelding who continues to climb through the grades and has shown a real liking for rain-affected tracks.

His victories at Pakenham and Mornington came in contrasting styles, highlighting his versatility and willingness to adapt to different race shapes.

With just 54kg after Dakotah Keane's claim and barrier three ensuring a soft run, he looks perfectly placed to settle close to the speed and prove very hard to hold out.

Set Me Loose

Could hardly have returned in better fashion, producing a dominant 3.5-length victory at Seymour first-up after six months away.

His second-up record is equally impressive and suggests he strips even fitter here, while Lindsey Smith has always been one of the shrewdest judges of his own horses.

The stable aren't afraid to back one they believe is above average and this gelding looks capable of measuring up beyond Benchmark company in the future.

Bazaball Rewarded

Produced another outstanding performance at Sandown last start when charging home to score comfortably over 1000 metres.

The only query is the rise to 1100 metres, however his overall sprinting profile is difficult to knock and rain-affected conditions only enhance his chances.

If the track remains soft, expect him to be launching strongly over the final 200 metres once again.

Rosehill

Make It Sweet

Returned with an encouraging first-up performance at Swan Hill where she found the line strongly after settling back in the field.

That effort suggested she has returned in excellent order and natural improvement is expected second-up.

The rise to 1400 metres looks ideal and should allow her to build through her gears before finishing off strongly late.

King Pedro

Has been knocking on the door with consecutive runner-up finishes and appears overdue for another victory.

His latest effort at this track over 2000 metres was full of merit when beaten only a nose after another determined performance.

He is proven at the trip, handles rain-affected going and looks to have found another ideal opportunity.

Perfect Play

His recent form is hard to fault and he appears to have timed his preparation to perfection.

Third at Rosehill last start behind Nobler was another honest performance and now at peak fitness he ticks plenty of boxes.

The claim, rain-affected conditions and the flying Neasham stable all combine to make him a major player.

God's Window

Has returned to his best this preparation and continues to race with tremendous consistency.

His recent second behind Formal Display followed a determined victory over the same course and distance in wet conditions, confirming he is thriving.

Chris Waller runners are always respected when they attract market support and this galloper looks the obvious danger again.
