9/9/2023 Brad Davidson tips and best bets from Sky Racing's BSB

Brad Davidson spoke to Sky Racing's Big Sports Breakfast team on Friday morning and gave punters his tips and best bets for Run To The Rose Day at Rosehill and McEwen Stakes Day at Moonee Valley on Saturday.

Here's what he told us.

Rosehill Race 8 - Run To The Rose

Davo was disappointed with $1.95 favourite Cylinder last start,  despite him winning the race. But the Sky Racing form analyst stated that he is prepared to give him another go.

Davidson noted his solid trials before his recent win and see's the Cumming's colt getting things his own way in front in a field where there isn't much pace. 

Davo gave Laurie Daley some confidence with Moravia, indicating the $11 pop had a fighting chance over the 1200m.

 

Moonee Valley  Race 8 McEwen Stakes

Josh Renyolds asked Davo for his thoughts on Everest winner Giga Kick in the race.

Davidson's opening remarks hinted towards a sligh knock on the champion horse, siting trainer Clayton Douglas' quote about the 4-year-old's vulnerability first-up and also suggesting the Valley wasn't the most suitable track for him. 

Despite these factors he still sees it as the class horse in the race and wouldn't be surprised to see it saluting.

 

Brad's Best Bet - Moonee Valley Race 4 - #5 Recommendation ($1.70)

Davidson has it as his best bet suggesting it should have won first-up and sees the race suiting him to a tee with some pretty thin opposition engaged.

Suprisingly, Davo has rated the favourite as overs at the current quote of $1.70 and expects it to come into $1.50 before they jump. The perfect anchor for punter's multis he commented.

 

Brad's Next Best - Rosehill Race 2 - #3 Chase My Crown ($8)

Davidson said she's a consistent mare who is down in grade offering punters great value at double-figures.
