This year’s edition of the Randwick Guineas pits boom colt The Autumn Sun, in a head-to-head clash against rising star filly Nakeeta Jane.
The former has set the racing world alight since his debut last year, whilst the latter has gone from strength to strength in each of her career runs.
Sitting on the third-line of betting is the Anthony Cummings trained Vegadaze, who impressed punters with a brave performance last start in the Hobartville Stakes.
What an intriguing race we have in store.
If Vegadaze can get away with some cheap sectionals, the back-markers will need to be at their very best to fly over the top.

Unsurpisingly, there have been no notable market movers given the small field and the inclusion of a short-priced favourite.

#1 The Autumn Sun $1.60
Impressed first-up with a slashing run from well off the lead to get up on the line in the Hobartville Stakes.
Ran home in an impressive 33.93 seconds on a Soft 7 and proved to any doubters that he is top-class.
The step-up to the mile is a huge plus and he's versatile enough to be ridden more forward if need be.
He looks bomb proof and will likely win, but the $1.60 quote is far too short.
If you can get $1.80, then he becomes a betting proposition.
#2 Maddison Country $16.00
A multiple Group One winner over the mile in New Zealand, but looked out of his depth against Long Leaf at his last start.
Long Leaf wouldn't run in the top-three in this race.
It looks as though this trip is aimed at keeping connections happy, rather than a genuine attempt at Group One glory. Next!
#3 Vegadaze $10.00
Ran a huge race last start, when he was narrowly defeated by The Autumn Sun.
He was well rated in front on that occasion, but this time around he's likely to be joined by Fundamentalist.
Has plenty of ability, but has bumped into two very smart types here. Clear third pick!
#5 Nakeeta Jane $6.00
Shocked all bar her connections when she won first-up at double figures.
She managed to sit close in the run that day, which surprised many given she looked one dimensional at her first prep.
Her second-up win was even more impressive, where she was forced to race beyond-midfield off a slow-pace.
On turning for home, she was shunted 8-9 horses wide and was giving up 5-6 lengths to the leader and eventual runner-up, Fundamentalist.
Connections will be well aware that their best chance of victory is to take a more forward position in the run.
If she follows nominated leader, Vegadaze, across from the wide draw, she can sit one pair back off the rails and be afforded the run of the race.
From here, it'll take an almighty effort to run her down.
At the $6.00, she's definately worth a throw at the stumps in what is set to be a two-horse race.
#8 Fundamentalist $17.00
Was well rated in the lead last start and showed improvement with the blinkers going on.
She looks unlikely to get the same favours this time around and will be found wanting late.
