My free best bets for today take place at Tamworth, with a competitive 7 race card ahead.

The rail is out 2m for the entire circuit, with the track rated a Good 4.

At this set-up , I expect on-pace runners to hold an advantage.

Tamworth Race 4 #11 Forever Jude $7.00

This guy's best career peak runs have come on a dry deck over the mile, so it wouldn't surprise to see him repeat the dose third-up here and rock hard fit.

Grant Buckley retains the ride and knows the horse well, having ridden him 6 times for a win and a second.

This is a pretty moderate field so if Buckley can use the good gate to lob a few pairs back, the son of Albrecht will go very close.

The obvious danger is Olivander, who will go forward and try his luck out in front. But he does save his best runs for rain affected tracks.

If the breaks go our way, I expect Forever Jude to be right in the finish and is currently over the odds at $7.

 

Tamworth Race 6 #7 My Benalla $2.35

Was ultra impressive first-up off a long spell and his likely to go on with it today.

There looks to be more speed in this race today, which plays into his hands.

The step up to 1200m is ideal and Rory Hutchings retains the ride.

He's drawn perfectly in barrier 4 to fall out of the gates, before winding up late and showing us his great turn of foot.
