The media judges were up and about this week, taking out six of the top ten spots on the leaderboard for Profit on Turnover (POT).

Best horse racing tipsters this week

Before we highlight some of the star performers, it was actually a pro punter who fared best.

Fresh off being named as one of July's best tipsters, crow eater Ochiltwig showed he's hungry for more.

The South Australian jagged 3 winners from 9 tips, including one of the longest roughies of the year so far.

Last Tuesday this pro got a hold of Craiglea Icon at Mackay, that saluted at mind-boggling odds of $111.70.

Ochiltwig tips one from the clouds

This was the driving force behind Ochiltwig's 259% POT.

He's well on his way to back-to-back listings as one of the tipsters of the month.

Onto the media brigade and top of the pile was none other than Tony Rickards

Regular readers of this column wouldn't be surprised to see the Winning Post form analyst crop up again.

Rickards has long since established himself as one of the best judges of Victorian metro racing going around.

This time he cleaned up at Caulfield, bagging 6 of the day's 9 winners.

Winning Post Tips

Tony Rickards was on fire at Caulfield

This included best bet and $7 pop Sierra Sue in the feature Group 2 Lawrence Stakes.

Apply a double stake to Rickards' best bets and he clocked off with a enormous 195% POT.

Punters will be all over Rickards' racing tips for the Spring Carnival.

It was a standout week for Winning Post with the publication's Sydney specialist Alan Pearce also firing.

He was all over Saturday's Kembla card, jagging 5 winners including $7.50 pop Commando Hunt and best bet Frosty Rocks.

All up, Pearce's 5 winners saluted at a strike rate of 50% and a fat average price of $4.56.

This generated a bumper 145% POT for Pearce's followers who doubled their stake on his best bets.

If that wasn't enough, then Pearce is now also boasting a three-month winning streak.

Another to follow through the spring.

Elsewhere, popular Victorian race caller Rick McIntosh continued his fine run of form.

He shot the lights out at Coleraine on Sunday, claiming 5 of the day's 8 winners.

They greeted the judge at a juicy average price of $4, leading to a 150% POT for McIntosh and his followers.

On top of that, this marked McIntosh's third winning week on the bounce.

He's flying.

Adam McGrath from RacingBase also earned a mention, after some sensational tipping at Belmont.

The racing broadcaster and journalist bagged 2 winners from just 5 tips, including $9.40 hope Crystal Spirit on Saturday.

While McGrath doesn't have a massive tipping output, his tips are very reliable.

Looking at his stats over the past 90 days, and he's showing an impressive 31% POT in this period.

Tremendous consistency.

Harness and Greyhound tipsters of the week

Grabbing the gold on the weekly harness leaderboard was veteran punter Kendo7.

This bloke has been tipping on the site for a decade now, so we enjoyed seeing him put in a performance to remember.

The Queenslander landed 4 of his 10 tips, at a meaty average price of $4.35.

This drove a cracking 74% POT for Kendo7 and his followers.

We can't go past Rob Testa as the greyhound tipster of the week, after he extended his insane run of form.

The Victorian race caller for RSN tipped no less than 16 winners across three meets at a phenomenal strike rate of 47%.

They also got up at a fat average price of $4.32, producing a bumper 104% POT for everyone who followed Testa's tips.

And there's sure to be plenty doing exactly that at the moment, considering the race caller's incredible tipping streak.

He's now dished up twelve consecutive winning days.

It doesn't get much better than that.
