Eagle Farm Race 1 Tip #8 Victoria Park $ 2.40

This 3YO gelding trained by Tony Gollan has improved with every run so far this campaign as he gradually steps up to his ideal distance.

His latest run over 1800m was his best to date as he chased valiantly behind tearaway leader Chelimo. Unfortunately, the margin was too big to bridge and he ran out of time finishing 1.5 lengths off him.

They spaced the rest of the field that day and Tony Gollan has elected to stay at 1800m, giving punters a big seal of approval that this gelding has the conditioning required to give this maiden a real shake.

Ryan Maloney, who will now have a great understanding of the horse from that effort, stays on board and is likely to take him back from the wide draw.

Look for Maloney to get a nice trail into the race and overpower them in the go to the line.

Randwick-Kensington Race 2 Tip #4 King Of Sparta $2.40

This 3YO gelding returns to the races for his second campaign after some impressive trials.

In the first trial, he was crowded for room and started to over race badly. Rather than fight him, Jockey Tommy Berry let him extend and within a blink of an eye he put lengths on his rivals.

In the second hit-out, he settled much better and again when asked for an effort sprinted very impressively under a hold to win.

He looks primed for this first-up run and looking back at his form from his first campaign, you can see why the market has also taken a stand with him.

In his debut outing, he was a mere 0.4 lengths of Hilal. He then followed it up having form behind Group 3 winner Paulele and Group 2 winner Home Affairs.

From the good draw, expect jockey Regan Bayliss to put him in a midfield position and overpower them in the straight for a convincing win.

Grafton Race 6 Tip #10 Remus $4.40

Heading to Grafton for one of the best bets I've seen in weeks.

This talented gelding kicked off his career with a cracking debut, running a narrow third behind Pyraminx and subsequent winner My Snow Queen.

He then stepped up to the 1400m at Bathurst, defeating the Bjorn Baker trained Twice On Sunday, with a 5-length margin to 3rd.

Twice On Sunday has since broken her maiden, further franking the form.

Remus then lined up over 1600m at Hawkesbury and put a gap in his rivals, running away to win by 2 lengths on the rain affected track.

He remains at the mile today, retains the services of Shaun Guymer and maps perfectly from barrier 7.

There looks nice pace in this race, with Vigorous Flow, Too Good To Be True, Acrophobic and Oakfield Arrow all set to push forward from the low draws and Swatson likely to attempt to cross them from barrier 8.

From barrier 7, Jockey Shaun Guymer can find a spot in the running line and be poised to strike turning for home. With only 55kg and clear running on the turn for home, look for Remus to be powering over the top of his rivals late.
