Race 2 Tip #4 Rainer $3.60

With the rail out 9m at Flemington for Saturday's card, i’m convinced the favoured lane for straight racing will revert back to the flat side as opposed to the popular grandstand side lane in recent times.

That said, Perast should get a dream run down the flat section, where from gate 4 he has the tactical speed to lead and tuck in just behind.

To run a strong straight six at Flemington, it takes a stout one and this colt is exactly that.

He's very well versed at riding the speed or close to, and simply grinding the opposition down. 

He is the best mapping horse of the day, with the current $7.50 in betting perfectly acceptable.
