20/06/21 Horse Racing Tips for Hong Kong Racing

Hong Kong gallops resume on Sunday at Sha Tin, where we'll see 10 races on the turf “A” course.

The meeting features the final two Group 3's in this racing season. The Group 3 Premier Plate over 1800m and the Group 3 Premier Cup over 1400m.

The Premier Plate sees Southern Legend as the highest-rated runner in the field. The Caspar Fownes stable has a strong hand in this race, with Southern Legend and stablemate Columbus County who looks a huge winning chance.

The Premier Cup is quite an open affair with, Sky Darci, Sky Field, Healthy Happy and Lucky Patch all in good form. Derby winner Sky Darci is the class horse and looks the strongest winning hope in the race.

All 10 races will be held on good ground under sunny weather.

 

 

Sha Tin Race 6   #6 El Jefe $4.60

El Jefe has shown a consistent turn of foot in recent starts, but found it difficult to win after finding himself too far back in the field.

Last time out over the same course and distance, he jumped fast before Matthew Poon decided to find cover and stay beyond midfield. He produced a strong finish with a L400m 21.97, which was the fastest final section in that field.

Zac Purton takes the ride on Sunday and is well prepared after having three gallops with the horse at trackwork.

Jumping from gate 8, look for Purton to be positive from the barriers before fighting out the finish.

 

Sha Tin Race 8    #2 Killer Bee $1.65

This talented 3YO has scored 3 wins from 4 starts to date.

He is now a mature type and will be very competitive in Class 3 company.

Killer Bee has won easily with the hood on at this track and distance in his past two outings and there is no reason he can't reproduce that today.

He's been galloping well on the turf track under Joao Moreira and is now at peak fitness.

Joao is onboard again and from gate 7 he can sit midfield before continuing on his winning streak.
