Sydney free best bets for Saturday return to NSW headquarters this weekend, with a strong 10 race card scheduled at Randwick.

The track is currently rated a Good 4 with the rail out 12m in the straight, expect on-pace runners to hold an advantage.

 

Randwick Tip from Dean Watling

 

Randwick Race 7 Tip #9 Madam Legend $4.40

This mare showed good improvement at the trials before bringing that form to race day, producing a dominate first-up win at Rosehill.

Over the 1100m, she settled midfield before unleashing a powerful finish to win with ease and recording a rapid last 400m sectional (11.6). If she is able to reproduce anywhere near that effort second-up, she will be winning.

The Les Bridge trained galloper has now had a month and a trial in between runs, which profiles well for this assignment.

McEvoy sticks in the saddle and she gets a perfect run from the barrier in behind the speed.

She handles all conditions and has scope to improve here second-up. 

Expect her to be in the finish.

Randwick Race 3 Tip #2 La Chevalee $2.60

Ciaron Maher and David Eustace look set to strike again with their talented mare La Chevalee in this clash.

She only needs to hold her form to be winning again, in what shapes as a similar race to what she won last start.

The Written Tycoon 4YO was dominant last start at this track, scoring over the 1800m by 2.11 lengths and defeating Zing in the process, who she meets here again.

Despite the small swing at the weights here, I'm confident she has the talented runner covered once again.

She is maintaining good condition deep into her preparation and both her Randwick runs this prep have been very good.

Despite the switch back to a dry surface, there's nothing to suggest that she'll regress from her recent form. With the claim for apprentice Tom Sherry (2kg), she looks well placed.

With only one nominated leader in the clash, I expect her to position in the first couple and with the perfect drag into the race, she looks the one they all need to beat again.
