We were keen on this Sepoy gelding a couple of weeks back, however he was scratched due to a Heavy track.

From the astute David Vandyke stable, he boasts an excellent record with 3 wins from 5 starts and was placed in his other two runs.

First-up poses no concern for this lightly raced Sepoy gelding, as he has a win and a second placing from two fresh attempts.

He kicked off last preparation finishing off hard to run 2.25 lengths second behind speedy runner Sugar Boom. That mare is a very smart sprinter and would easily line up favourite here.

There is enough speed in this field to allow gun jockey Ryan Maloney to settle him midfield.

Maloney should be able to time his run and use this galloper's good acceleration to run them down late.

Warwick Farm Race 1 Tip #2 Fire $6.00

This guy has a few ingredients that I like to see in first starters.

The Hawkes stable are typically quick to geld their runners and given the son of Fastnet Rock is still a colt, it's good push that he has ability.

He lines up against favourite Turgenev here, who got the better of him in the trial. However, Fire was given a much quieter ride compared to his rival that day, who was niggled in the straight.

The second placed horse from that hit out was placed in a Group 3 last start, suggesting the trial form is solid.

I think we'll see a smart one debut today and I expect him to turn the tables on the favourite.

Warwick Farm Race 6 Tip #7 Saigon $4.80

Looks a perfect race for the Waller trained mare to get back into the winner's circle.

The 4YO daughter of I Am Invincible was very good first-up from a spell over 1400m at Warwick Farm. 

She was beaten 0.1 lengths behind The Irishman after settling back in the field, with that horse subsequently placing in the Group 2 Phar Lap Stakes.

She was a Saturday City winner at Randwick last preparation and meets a very similar field again today.

She gets here with added fitness second-up and the rain affected track (5:3:0:0) only enhances her chances.

From the middle gate and with good speed up front, she will find the right spot in transit and prove awfully hard to hold out late.
