Morphettville is currently rated a Good 4, with the rail out 5m from the 1200m to the winning post and 4m the remainder.

The forecast is for mild weather on Saturday but with scattered showers likely to fall on Friday, the track could start in the Soft range.

It's advised to watch the first few races and take note of any track bias before betting.

 

Morphettville Race 5 Tip #3 Two Odd Sox $7.00

This ultra-consistent gelding has missed a place on only two occasions from his last ten starts.

Talented apprentice, Fred Kersley, takes the ride and claims 2kg which is a big plus for connections.

He's drawn to do no work from barrier two and with plenty of early speed drawn inside and out, he will get every chance off a fast tempo.

If there is any hint of a run-on bias, bet with confidence as he’ll be flying at them late.

 

Morphettville Race 7 Tip #9 Schilldora $5.00

Won in a canter, by 3-lengths when first-up over 1000m at Morphettville Parks.

She then stepped up in grade to the Group Three Typhoon Tracy Stakes, where she was forced to settle near last from the wide barrier. Despite the difficult position, she was able to make up significant ground to finish fourth, 1.95-lengths off the winner.

Drawn barrier six in this race, she can follow the speed across and sit three pairs back with cover, before pouncing on the turn.

She has won four from eight starts and still looks to have plenty of upside.

The $5 is a steal and at that price she’s the best bet on the card.

 

Morphettville Race 8 Tip #3 Tiara Star $3.80

Was slow to begin last start, before working home strongly to finish 3.3 lengths off the talented Despatch.

This is a significant drop in grade from her last few starts.

She comes into this race third-up and won this far in last preperation.

With plenty of speed engaged, the wide draw is of little concern and there is no reason to suggest she can't flying over the top late.

Looks the class horse in the race and should prove too strong in the get out stakes.
