It is Coolmore Classic day at Rosehill with stacked fields across the card.
The track is currently rated Good 4 and with scorching weather hitting NSW at the moment, it may even improve to a rock hard Good 3.
The rail is in the true position, and often in this case those up on speed are benefitted. However the track should play well and most races will be tempo related.
There is plenty of value to be had and our experts have dropped their top plays below.
Rosehill Tip from Luke Hovhanesian
Rosehill Race 3 #2 Tamerlane $5.00
This 5yo gelding resumes off some brilliant trials and looks suited in this field.
He finished off last preperation with two strong wins on the bounce and looks to have kept up to that level.
He flies fresh and gets the services of Zac Lloyd who is in brilliant form of his own.
From the wide barrier he will need to jump well, but with speed drawn just inside him, Maotai should give him a lovely cart into the race from the wide barrier.
Love the set up and think he should start much shorter come raceday.
Rosehill Tip from Michael Gannon
Rosehill Race 8 #13 Yearning $13.00
She was luckless last start when running into the behind of half the field in the straight, the less said about that the better.
Coming off that soft run, she will be ready to peak come Saturday.
The map looks to be in her favour given there is plenty of speed on in a big field.
That is a suitable race shape for her to produce a big run.
I've rated her $9.20, so at the $13 she's a great each way bet
Rosehill Tip from Dean Watling
Rosehill Race 8 #2 Annavisto $5.50
Annavisto looks the clear-cut favourite in this year’s G1 Coolmore.
She was dominant first up destroying her rivals from the front, off the back of some super jump-outs.
She has had 3 weeks between runs which suits perfect.
The wide draw in barrier 15 is of slight concern but there is a 350m run to the first bend.
Nash can crusie across and sit up on speed which suits the track pattern.
Very hard to beat.
