The classy fillies engage here in what shapes as an even contest with a wide betting market.

Some of the field are making a significant leap in grade to Group 2 level. Most of these will likely struggle, with the Adelaide visitor the only one to have proven herself to be competitive at this level.

I have singled out one that has already shown she is up to this class, with an impressive last start performance in Group company.

She has been savagely attacked by what appears to be pro money in the early market, which is always a great lead for punters.

Fillies can improve dramatically from week to week, hence it is recommended to follow the money in this one....particularly late in betting.

Race favourite Angelic Ruler has been backed off the map in early markets, firming from $3.50 to $2.90.

Kenyan Wonder has also attracted support and is $7.00 into $5.00 since the open.

Horse Racing Key Runners

#1 Angelic Ruler $3.50 > $2.90

Was well supported in betting to win last start, when 2 of 9 in the Angus Amanasco.

Punters have chimed in again here and she has been highly fancied in early markets.

After travelling wide throughout last start, she still kept coming.

From gate 5 here, she will have a much better run and given luck, will be storming late.

Top hope.

#2 Spanish Whisper $7

Ran well in Group 2 level at Moonee Valley last start when finishing 2 of 12 in the Typhoon Tracy.

She has "Mystic Journey form" from last prep, which should hold her in good stead for this event.

Ready to fire second-up and looks good value at the current $7.50 quote. Yes

#3 The Closer $18

Led last start when tiring late in the Vanity over this course and distance.

That was against a few of the top liners and this looks much easier.

The fitness gained from the tough last start effort will have her cherry ripe.

From gate 3, they have plenty of options to either lead again or take cover just in behind.

Expect them to sit just in behind the expected hot tempo, before darting through late.

Leading hope.

#9 Kenyan Wonder $7.00 > $5.00

Adelaide raider who has earnt a ticket in this after being dominant at her past two.

The stable always know the right one to bring across and they have a phenomenal strike rate when travelling.

Has to step up from benchmark 70 grade to Group 2 level, however the money is there in early betting to suggest it won't be a problem.

Can win.

#10 Zoubo $8

Was a close up 3 of 9 in the Angus Amanasco, the key lead-up race, when she travelled deep before being beaten only 1 length.

The draw is ideal in gate 2 and rider Michael Dee will not spend a cent in the run on this occasion.

Just needs a touch of luck inside the final 200m to be finding the line strongly at the finish. Yes.

#11 Victory Kingdom $10

Loves to lead and dictate, however she strikes a race with a ton of speed out wide that will be looking to cross.

If they press forward, it would appear to be suicide and I doubt she can win running on against her natural pattern.

Prefer others. No.

#14 Princess Jenni $12

Comes into this after a last start fillies maiden plate win.

Simply won't handle the class rise. No.

Of The Others

#12 Etana will carve across from the outside and with specialist on-speed hoop Linda Meech to steer, has every hope of pulling their pant's down.

The stable will have her screwed right down to win and the current $18 looks perfectly acceptable. Yes
