28/09/21 Best bet tips for horse racing at Kilmore & Grafton today

Rick Morris and Michael Gannon reveal their free tips for Tuesday gallops around Australia.

Rick has assessed the Kilmore card and has identified a best bet later in the day, whilst Mic is all over a competitive Grafton card.

Kilmore is currently rated a Soft 5, with the rail true the entire circuit.

Meanwhile, Grafton will be racing on a Good 4 with the rail situated in the true position for the entire circuit.

Kilmore Race 9 Tip #4 Shock'Em $3.00

It's not normally in my DNA to tip a horse coming off a maiden win up in grade, however his debut run was outstanding.

He was three wide the trip and was as strong as any other runner on the line.

Being the son of Melbourne Cup winner Shocking, you would expect the rise in trip to 1600m to suit him to a tee.

He should get a cushier sit this time from barrier 2 and look for John Allen to position fourth or fifth in the run.

This is not a difficult BM64 assignment, so he gets every chance to notch two wins from as many starts.

Grafton Race 6 #5 Gobbled $3.50

This former Victorian galloper produced a nice effort last start, but failed to chase down the tear away leader.

The step up to 1400m looks ideal and I expect the son of Star Witness to roll forward and dictate terms to his rivals.

There's not much depth to this race, so it would come as a surprise to see anything jump out of the ground and run this guy down.

His best performances have come when leading over the distance and if he runs up to those, he'll be wining this with ease.
