Following three Group 1 races at Sha Tin on Sunday, Hong Kong racing returns to Happy Valley on Wednesday for another 9 race card.

The C+3 course will be used for the meeting and you can expect those horses with inside gates over the sprint races will hold an advantage. Over the middle distances and staying events, all runners will get a fair chance. 

Red hot golden boy Vincent Ho will pick up 7 rides this evening, whilst the top 2 leading jockeys Joao Moreira and Zac Purton have both secured full books with decent mounts.

UK star Harry Bentley secured his first win last Wednesday and he has 7 rides tonight with strong winning chances. 

This battle will be exciting to watch.

Despite the fact his rating has now dropped to a career low, he's been running well recently and the shift to Happy Valley is a good decision.

Echoes Of Heaven, who comes from the same sire as Blazing Partners, was a proven performer at Happy Valley and I expect him to run well in this clash.

He's a good each way bet.

 

Sha Tin Race 4 Tip #7 Virtus Star $10.00

Virtus Star enjoyed a promising start to his racing career, with 3 wins and 2 seconds in his first 5 races. 

His condition then deteriorated slightly, however he still performed well with 3 placings from his last 6 starts.

He ran disappointing last time out over 1800m, but his best distance is surely the 1650m. 

Connections have made the correct call dropping him back to the mile for this clash, and he looks a winning chance a good odds.
