Race 1 Neds Punters Toolbox (bm78) - 12. Storm King

Comment and top ratings: Had easy lead Echuca and bolted in Vs older horses. Just no match for promising one prior. Very good 2nd here to Duke Of Hastings in race that rated well says he measures up. Looks the leader first use of track too.

 

Race 1 Neds Punters Toolbox (bm78) - 6. Spanish Tides

Comment and top ratings: Top win MV from off midfield on better day to be handy/ saving ground then ran on well here with 61kg, time there quite good also. The 2000m looks ok.

 

Race 2 Stow Storage Solutions (bm90) - 8. Groovy Kinda Love

Comment and top ratings: Resumes. Trialled well. Was slow out fresh last prep and looked about ready to launch when her luck ran out. She then tested gun mare Yonce. Small field should see her in striking distance and she has no weight. The value $7 ?

 

Race 3 Evergreen Turf (bm78) - 7. Pascero

Comment and top ratings: Lovely return in fast race then poleaxed 2nd-up. Do think he should have won here last time and he has not had hard run as a consequence as he was never fully tested. Now draws nice middle gate. Keen run well.

 

Race 4 Ive > Hcp - 3. Bankers Choice

Comment and top ratings: Resumes. Jumped out well. Way back off walking (-17L) tempo in a G2 Blamey stakes fresh in March then flew home in 11.08 last 200m, clear fastest of any horse all day and crossed line with Lawrence winner Mr Brightside. Looks more genuine tempo here. Ran well in a G1 Doncaster too. The overs in wide race maybe?

 

Race 5 H.d.f. Mcneil Stakes - 12. Aft Cabin

Comment and top ratings: Debut was good (gap 3rd) then onto better than bottomless track Sandown and he won like a very good horse, thrashing Bel Air (who had been on heels of Berkeley Square) and running terrific last 600m/ overall time doing it.

 

Race 6 The Mccafe Stakes - 10. Star Patrol

Comment and top ratings: Resumes. Walked in maiden fresh last prep then two very fast Flemington wins. Gave 3kg to Passive Aggressive in Creswick and made her work to beat him. Trialled well with Bella Nipotina.

 

Race 7 W.w. Cockram Stakes - 7. Passive Aggressive

Comment and top ratings: Resumes. Lovely trial win. Unbeaten and went by Star Patrol in Creswick Stks in slick time. Still on the up it seems (will need to be as 85-rater this scale).

 

Race 7 W.w. Cockram Stakes - 8. Isotope

Comment and top ratings: Fresh. Her sole top-2 miss fresh was last prep when struck very heavy ground. First girl home in G1 Stradbroke last start. As 104-rater, Passive Aggressive should be giving her 8.5kg VS Hcp.

 

Race 8 Magic Millions Memsie Stakes - 5. Western Empire

Comment and top ratings: Resumes. Effortless G3 win fresh last prep then demolished them in G1 Railway. Exceptional talent and trials very good. Off decent break and never seen Soft ground so there are queries.

 

Race 8 Magic Millions Memsie Stakes - 14. Snapdancer

Comment and top ratings: Fresh. Was off a near identical freshen when winning G1 Sangster in Adelaide two-back on Soft-6. Nailed by Startantes in G1 Tiara latest at 1400m.

 

Race 9 Tile Importer Heatherlie Stks - 8. No Effort

Comment and top ratings: Resumes. Won this race last year, on dry, and is better on tracks with give. Her run two-back was enormous when kicking way too soon after seeing mad speed. Surprised at $11 early markets.
