Big Stable Plunges
AAPTagged: Horse Racing Tips
We struck a nice winner at Flemington last week when Gonnadancealot saluted at the juicy $6.50 price.
This week at Caulfield, punters have locked onto a Maher/Eustace runner early in the card, which is expected to relish the sharp rise in distance.
Whilst at Rosehill, Chris Waller is stepping one up to Saturday grade, a decision early shoppers seem to approve of.
If any of the below selections attract further support close to start time, you can bet with confidence.
Caulfield Tips
Maserartie Bay
Jumps sharply in distance from the last start 1800m straight to 2412m, which could make all the difference.
He appeared to be searching for more ground last time out at Rosehill when grinding home late.
Returning from Sydney class, this race looks easier and he could easily bounce back to winning form.
King Magnus
Won well here at Caulfield last start over the same 1400m trip.
He showed an electric turn of foot launching from a midfield position last time out, and was very strong though the line.
The Griffiths/De Kock stable are flying and there is no reason why he can’t chalk up back-to-back wins here
Scantoon
Loves the 1400m trip (7:3:1:1) and only just missed by 1.2 lengths when placing 3 of 16 here last time out.
Look for him to get an ideal trail from gate 2, and suck up in behind the leaders for the entire trip.
Expect him to dart through late to win.
The Garden
Is from the shifty Simon Wilde camp, who love a bet and often place them to perfection.
He was dominant winning at Geelong last start to break the maiden status at only his second career run.
The Craig Williams booking adds plenty of interest, as Craig and his form man rarely make mistakes when selecting the best Saturday rides. Yes.
Rosehill Tips
Black Bolt
Had excuses last start at Hawkesbury when being held up and raced keen throughout, yet still managed to place 3 of 8.
Given more luck here and now the fresh edge is off, expect him to settle much better and can have plenty in hand at the finish.
Trust the Maher/Eustace yard have him primed to fire second up.
All Time Legend
Won well first-up at Randwick last campaign and appears to race well on the fresher side.
The soft track conditions (5:3-0-1) are also likely to suit and he should bounce straight to the front and prove very hard to run down.
Leading rider Kerrin McEvoy is a big tick and will give the horse every chance.
Seleque
Is from the powerful Waller camp and has been in the money at her past 4 starts, winning 2.
This is a step up from mid-week grade, however the stable are good at placing them where they think they can win.
She is here to win and from gate 9 Tommy Berry, will show good intent to press forward and race close to speed.
Ashim
Import who will relish getting out to a longer trip (1500m) after battling away to place 2 of 12 at Randwick last start over 1300m.
Breton Avdulla is beginning to find some better form in recent weeks, and could pay to follow whilst he’s on this upward trajectory.
The low draw in gate 3 will also assist, in a race where there looks to be early pressure.
