We head to Randwick for The Invitation Day on Saturday, with a strong 10-race card scheduled.
The track is currently rated a Good 4, with the rail out 8m from the 1000m to the winning post and 5m for the remainder..
At this set-up, you can expect the track to offer slight favours to on-pace runners who can find lanes 1-4 on turning for home. This could make inside draws advantageous.
Randwick Tip from Michael Gannon
Randwick Race 2 #2 Kitzbuhel $7.50
This Tim Donelly trained galloper has built a nice record since arriving in Australia and should improve on that this Saturday.
Whilst he's bred to handle a rain affected track, his efforts on dry and synthetic surfaces have been great so the predicted firm surface won't be an issue.
His last start third over 1500m at Goulburn was a great run and he looks set to produce second-up on Saturday. In past campaigns he's peaked second-up and I see no reason why that won't happen again on Saturday.
He rises to the 1800m which is more his trip, gains the services of Tim Clark and from barrier 1, he'll dictate from the front.
I suspect the track will offer some on-pace favours, which will suit this galloper.
He opened around $11 and was quickly backed into $7.50, which is another big tick of approval and suggests the stable are confident of a strong performance.

Randwick Race 3 Tip #2 Mazu $7.00
This is not the first time I have tipped this beautifully bred Maurice colt.
His performances from his first campaign have stuck with me, and his recent trial showed glimpses that he is finally getting back to that same level.
His last trial was two weeks ago against genuine Group 1 horses in Classique Legend, Entriviere and Forbidden Love.
He led them up easily and extended nicely to the line under a hold.
Classique Legend and Entriviere both managed to catch him 50m from home, but the three of them all looked like they had plenty left to give if pushed.
Mazu returns to his age group this weekend in the Brian Crowley Stakes.
From the soft draw, Jockey Sam Clipperton will be able to muster Mazu forward and be handy in the run.
There appears to be a lack of genuine speed engaged which will allow him to get soft sectionals in the run.
If the race pans out as I expect, Mazu will be giving a strong kick on the turn to give us a great sight.
There is a lot of hype around boom gelding Able Willie who was impressive in a recent trial, but I always have question marks around horses second-up in their first campaign.
Furthermore, I have concerns over the draw for him in barrier 9.
At the current prices, I am happy to go with the value selection in Mazu.

Randwick Race 9 Tip #6 Entriviere $3.00
This mare looks primed for a peak performance third-up and has been set for the inaugural running of the $2 million The Invitational.
She's coming off a super win in the Sheraco when first-up off a slight set back, before unleashing a powerful turn of speed second-up in the Golden Pendant when she had to go back to last from the draw.
She recorded the meeting fastest last 600m (32.79) on a day when it was tough to make ground. The Jamie Richards trained runner has since had a tick over trial, where she couldn’t have been more impressive.
She's drawn out for this clash, but I don’t think that's an issue with enough speed on up front.
Tommy Berry takes the ride and he's the most in-form Sydney jockey at this meeting. He rides backmarker/midfield horses better then most and this looks the perfect partnership.
Her turn of speed allows her to win from positions most can’t, which will be a big plus on Saturday.
She’s very adaptable, wet or dry it doesn’t matter. With the Randwick track playing so fair over the past months, we can expect her to get every chance.
These mares are an even bunch, but I think she’s the exception. Mighty hard to beat
