Today's edition of free best bets heads to Lismore, with punters set to dissect a competitive 7 race card.

The rail is out 1.5m from the 400m to the winning post and true for the remainder of the circuit, with the track rated a Good 4.

At this set up, I expect all runners to get their chance on what will be a fair racing surface.

Lismore Race 2 #5 Split Jete $3.10

Couldn't be more keen to bet up on this colt.

His debut run was full of merit after being caught three-wide the trip, before running on well into 5th.

He'll take natural improvement from that run and gains the services of gun jockey Ben Looker.

Those two factors alone will see him improve at least 3-lenghts, which should put him in the winner's stall today.

From barrier 9, Looker can sit mid-field in the running line, before peeling wide in the straight to unleash this colt over the top.

The early market support has come this son of Scissor Kick, suggesting there is a level of stable confidence around him as well.

 

Lismore Race 4 #2 Lasting Kiss $2.20

This mare is as honest as the day is long and is looking to improve on an impressive career record of 6:3-3-0. 

Her last start win at Doomben in Class 3 company was ultra impressive, defeating Fifteen Rounds who ran 3rd by 1.85-lengths.

That galloper has since run 2nd and then produced a strong win at Eagle Farm on Saturday, seriously franking that form line.

Lasting Kiss produced a career peak last start, so she's well suited with the long break between runs and if she gets any where near that again today, she'll put a big gap in these.

The $2.20 is ludicrous, she should start well into the red and give this field a spanking!
