NSW midweek racing heads to Canterbury where punters have a competitive 7 race card to get stuck into.
The track is currently rated a heavy 8, but with decent drying conditions in Sydney the track could sneak into the soft range.
The rail is in the true for this meeting. The last few meetings here it has been a real advantage to draw low, with rails in the run a real positive.

Canterbury Race 3 Tip #2 Tochi $10.00
In the early part of her career this girl by Al Maher looked below average, that was before she strung three wins together last prep.
At first glance it appears she hasn't returned in the same vein of form this preparation but a deeper dive into her from would suggest both runs have been complete forgives.
First-up she was in the worst going, while second-up she drew poorly and did plenty of work to cross for the lead, which told late.
She’s had a 3 week freshen-up and has won at that pattern previously. She is 2/2 at the track and retains the services of Tommy Berry who was aboard the mare on both occasions.
She draws to do no work from barrier 4 and with very little speed in the race she should cross to the rails to lead and prove almighty hard to chase down.
Canterbury Race 7 #11 This Is So $5.00
This Anthony Cummings trained five-year-old gelding looks an almighty bet to close off the day in style!
The son of So You Think burst onto the scene in the winter of 2019 with impressive back to back wins. He trialled during Spring, but wasn't seen for another 9-months.
There was a sprinkle of support first-up, before running 0.5-length fourth. He built into the race nicely recording the fastest 600-400m split (11.66) and the fastest L200m of the race with a (12.60).
From that run it looks as though he was crying out for more distance. One very quiet trial later we have him wound up at a 1550m race which looks perfect.
From barrier one, he'll land on the fence to get favours in the run and is well in at the weights after the 1.5kg claim for Van Overmeire.
With even luck on turning for home, he'll be fighting out the finish.

Canterbury Race 1 #2 Beyliks $4.40
This astutely bred Lohnro colt out of stakes winning mare Ottoman, is set to peak third-up after running well at both outings this campaign.
His first-up run in the Group 2 Champagne Classic at Eagle Farm was solid, when finishing fourth behind the talented Rothfire.
He dropped back to the 1100m second-up and was dragged back from the inside gate, in an attempt to find the best going out-wide in the home straight. He savaged the line on that occasion, which suggests that the 1200m here will be ideal.
The return to a drier racing surface is a plus, as is the significant race-day experience he holds over his rivals in this race.
Koby Jennings takes the ride from the wide gate and with fitness on his horse's side, he will be fired out with intent.
With an aggressive ride from Rawiller, expect him to get a good time of it on-speed and breakthrough for a much-deserved maiden win.
Canterbury Race 4 #11 Somnus $1.90
The promising 3yo from the Mark Newnham camp looks to make it back to back wins on Wednesday after a devastating last start victory.
The Savabeel gelding was dominant over the 1880m at Newcastle, setting a new track record in the process. He was able to ride in behind an extremely hot tempo before racing away from his rivals to score by 4-lengths.
The gelding ran the 2nd quickest 400-200m in that race showing a stunning burst of acceleration to put his rivals away. The 2nd and 3rd horses in the race both settled 9th and 13th in the run so there was distinction to his efforts to win from a forward role.
He now comes here fourth-up from a spell at peak fitness and looks to have perpetual upside against a field that lacks noticeable depth.
He rises to the 1900m which will be no concern and the 3kg claim for in form apprentice Tom Sherry is a huge plus.
Drawn barrier 3, he is set to get a lovely run in behind what looks to be a strong tempo. Expect Sherry to settle the exciting stayer in behind the speed and prove far too good.
