1/9/20 Best Bets at Benalla

Victorian racing heads to Benalla on Tuesday, for a competitive 9-race card.

The rail is in the true position and fine weather is forecast for the North East region of Victoria.

Punters are met with wide open fields for the majority of the day, with plenty of value on offer.

Slipintothis in race 1 is a horse that will relish the step-out to 2046m today. 

The gelding was slowly away last start, before settling last. He was then scrubbed up around the 600m mark and made good ground late. 

Stable jockey Billy Egan jumps aboard today and will ensure this galloper is given every possible chance.

This mare by Shooting To Win has built a strong career record to date (8:2-1-0).

She was luckless last start at Swan Hill over 1300m. After being restrained from the inside draw, she was unable to be fully tested the entire straight and finished 2.3-lengths back in fifth. 

She'll be much better suited from barrier 5 here, which should allow her to sit in the running line and wind up down the outside.

She's 2:1-1-0 at this track and is ready to tackle the 1406m and bounce back from her last start failure.
