We have 10 races to dissect today, including 2 on the all weather track and 8 on the turf C'' course.

The weather will be fine with the ground set to be rated Good for both tracks, so the front-runners will be favourable.

John Size has 6 runners engaged today, including star galloper Drops Of God in Race 8. He looks likely to score the first of many wins for the season.

The feature race for the day comes in the final event over the mile. In what looks an open race, C P Brave gets a light weight, gate 1 and looks a good chance.

 

 

Sha Tin Race 7 #4 Leap Of Faith $1.95

Leap Of Faith won on his last start over 1800m at Happy Valley, beating Exceptional Nice and Indicative Vote by 3 lengths.

He's since had a good rest over the summer break. He started galloping in mid August and has been progressing really well.

He showed he is in good condition at a recent barrier trial on 10 September, where he displayed good speed and maintained it until through to the finish.

Joao Moreira will be on board again and jumping from gate 2 will allow him to hold the lead, which is a big advantage.

 

Sha Tin Race 9 Tip #2 Hall Of Champ $4.40

Blake Shinn only has ride today, but he'll likely come away a winner on this guy.

Shinn has ridden Hall Of Champ to victory twice from three attempts and is well suited to the horse.

Hall Of Champ did a great job last time out over the same course and distance. He jumped fast under Joao Moreira, but barrier 13 ensured he was ridden back and kept wide.

He managed to produce a nice effort to run 1.98 lengths 4th.

This time he'll jump from gate 3, which will allow him to land in a much more forward position.

Shinn knows the horse well, so he'll have him settled in the run and poised to strike.

There is no obvious leader in Race 9, so Hall Of Champ can be more prominent in the beginning before showing a good turn of foot late.
