We struck twice last week, after Mahamedeis greeted the judge paying $3.70 (at time of publication) and Dancing Gidget unleashed hell late to salute at $4.20.

This week sees some interesting betting moves at both Moonee Valley and Randwick, where the professional punters have been out in force and picked off a select few early.

We have highlighted the more pronounced price moves and what is likely to be driving them.

Horse Racing Tips at Moonee Valley

Moonee Valley Tips

Al Galayel

Races well at Moonee Valley (5:2-1-0) and the Maher/Eustace stable are flying.

He did enough at Flemington last start when coming from well back to finish 4 of 11, when he was only 2.5 lengths off the winner.

Expect them to position midfield in the moving line, before rolling into it at just the right time.

Diesel 'N' Dust

Has the key booking of Damien Oliver, who usually takes his pick in any field.

The bush win at Wodonga was excellent when he brained them by 3.75 lengths and he certainly deserves his chance in city grade.

He is likely to receive genuine speed map favours racing just in behind the leaders, and from there he can unleash hell late.

Tavirun

Won well at Sandown last start over 1800m, where his strength through the line indicates the 2040m here will suit.

The rider is likely to push forward and lead, in what could develop into only a moderately run race.

Appears rock hard fit now and very well placed in this.

Winning Partner

Arrives from SA and should be impeccably placed by the shrewd McEvoy yard.

He has raced well all preparation with a win and second placing at his past two.

The stable would not be travelling him if the work behind closed doors was not impressive. Could start shorter.

Randwick Tips

Golden Avenger

The price has been affected by scratchings, however this move is still worth noting.

He is from a lethal bush yard in the care of Cam Crockett, who is well known for placing them to perfection.

The last start effort at Tamworth was excellent when he was again heavily backed ($5.50 into $4.60), before winning with ease.

A repeat performance here would not surprise.

Man Of Peace

Loves to lead and dictate to them all and has the opportunity to do that here, in a race where the leaders could get it cheap.

Back to 1400m from his last start win over 1300m is perfect, and he should show good fight late after coming down in trip.

Expect him to jump, find the front and prove very hard to run past.

Fulmina

Was beaten as a warm favourite last start at Rosehill, where she did have genuine excuses after travelling wide throughout.

With more luck here from an ideal barrier in gate 4, expect her to travel with the perfect smother just in behind before presenting late.

More money should arrive closer to the jump and she could start much shorter.

Steel Diamond

Races well on rain affected going (4:2-0-2) and should receive those preferred conditions at Randwick on Saturday.

She is lightly raced (9:3-1-2) and still on the way up, hence she looks to have more potential than most of these.

Drawing wide may be a distinct advantage at this late stage of the day, with riders looking to get to the outside.

Looks a good thing.
