Last Wednesday's Happy Valley meeting was cancelled due to the typhoon but now that the weather is clear, Hong Kong racing returns.

The 10 turf races for today will be held on the “B+2” course, which is very fair. The going is expected to be good.

There will be two Group 2 events, both of them are for horses preparing for the Hong Kong International Races in December.

Race 6 is the Premier Bowl over 1200m, where the unbeaten Courier Wonder will make his seasonal debut as a 4YO. He's has good preparation leading into today's clash, and it is time to prove himself as a top-class sprinter in Hong Kong.

Race 8 is the Sha Tin Trophy over 1600m. Hong Kong Derby winner Sky Darci was unlucky last time out in the Celebration Cup, and he should perform better second up. today

Another star horse, Fantastic Treasure, will return in Race 10, a Class 2 over 1200m. This horse scored 5 from 5 last season and recent trials suggest he is very fit now.

Sha Tin Race 7 #9 Zebrowski $10.00

In the 2020 Australian Derby, Zebrowski finished 2nd behind Quick Thinker by just 0.2L, suggesting he is a good stayer with class.

The horse was shipped to Hong Kong and he made his debut on the shores on 5 September over 1200m, where he chased well from the back and finished 6th.

Last time out up to 1400m, he changed his tactics to settle more forward in the run and he finished 4th. It was a run which showed he is looking for a longer distance.

The 5YO will race over 1800m on Sunday, which should be a better distance for him.

Jumping from gate 3 and ridden by Alexis Badel, he may lead and he has good stamina to do it from both ends.

Sha Tin Race 9 #2 My Sugar $3.60

My Sugar has scored three wins and one third from four starts over this course and distance. In the race in which he didn't win, he jumped from gate 14 so can be forgiven.

He had a left front fetlock surgery in March and recovered well, having saluted last time out under Zac Purton.

It was an outstanding win for him, as he beat some strong horses like Super Winner and The Golden Scenery by 1.5L.

This Deep Field gelding has been doing well in recent trackwork, with the gallop on 7 October particularly impressive.

Jumping from gate 7 here will allow to either lead or stay midfield with cover, since he is dynamic.

He looks fit now and I expect him to score a back-to-back victories.
