17/07/21 Horse racing tips & best bets from early market movers

Early betting flows for a number of key runners have been seen again this week, providing an excellent lead to punters at both major venues.

In Melbourne at Flemington, Danny O’Brien looks to be warming up for a big Spring and has one that has not been missed.

Whilst at Randwick talented young trainer Cody Morgan is looking to impress a high-profile ownership group early in the card.

Each of the below selections exhibit traits of sophisticated investment in early betting markets and if they firm further as we approach the jump, you can bet with confidence.

 

 

Flemington Tips

 

Gonnadancealot

Is crying out for the 1800m journey here after chasing hard over the concluding stages last start at Bendigo over 1600m.

This race is not overly strong and Jamie Kah’s management team would have left no stone unturned to book the right horse.

From gate 11 here, they can roll across to settle midfield with cover before charging late.  

 

Yulong Justify

Undefeated 3YO who so far has won 2 from 2 on the Pakenham synthetic track.

He needs to transition to turf here which can be a question mark, however he has every chance with Dean Yedall in the saddle. He will be keen to impress given a rare opportunity for McEvoy.

Expect him to race close to speed and prove very hard to run past.

 

Can’t Be Done

Is from the Danny O’Brien yard, who must be doing plenty right with the recent stable transfer of horses to his yard from both Bob Peters and a high-profile Lindsay Park owner.

This gelding won well at Sandown last start and strikes what appears to be a weak Saturday race.

Look for the stable to explode with winners over the coming weeks.

 

Always In Moment

Brained them first-up at Sandown last start over 1300m and jumps sharply up in distance to 1700m for this.

Trust shrewd trainer Mick Kent has poured the work into the horse and he does know when they’re suited to these longer trips.

The Craig Williams booking screams yes!

 

Randwick Tips

 

Honeycreeper

Dual accepter who is likely to face the starter here as opposed to Flemington.

She won well at Newcastle two starts back and then made up good ground over 1300m last start at Rosehill (4 of 7).

Out to 1400m now is perfect and she should be one of the strongest late.

 

Anethole

Is from the shifty Coday Morgan stable who love a bet and are keen to impress high profile syndicators Australian Bloodstock.

He wasn’t too far off them (3.3 lengths) last start at Rosehill when finishing 7 of 13.

I suspect that he has shown plenty at home following the last start effort to warrant this support. Watch betting late.   

 

Opacity

Has a touch more quality than most of these and does drop back to what appears a weaker field in this race.

From gate 1, they won’t be burning any fuel and can suck up along the inside for the entire trip.

If the fence is the preferred going with rails in run suited, expect him to simply win.

  

Nikohli Beagle

Was hard in the market ($2.60) two starts back at Warwick Farm, before winning accordingly.

There may have been genuine excuses last time out at Rosehill, when he raced a touch too close and condition appeared to give out late.

From the inside draw here, they should find good cover and be much stronger late.
